This video is a typical day in the Baumeister Family. John married into the cat, Zorro. He is such a love, but John is not a fan. Not sure if it has to do with his terrible allergies, need to take Zyrtec daily, or that Z meows constantly. It doesn't bother me but it makes John want to put a gun to his head. At 4am (when John wakes up, I frequently hear meow meow....John "WHAT DO YOU WANT....what in the world do you want, I have fed you and given you water". My response to John he just wants a little love. Anyways this video is a typical bath Z gets about every 2 months.

Hope u enjoy. It makes me laugh every time i see it.

A Short on Our Past

Hello to anyone reading out there! My name is John and my wife is Laura... well Kathryn Laura Elliott Baumeister, but to her closest friends she is known as Laura. Laura and I have been married for almost 9 months and enjoy living at our little piece of paradise in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. We own one dog (Hank), and one cat (Zorro). Laura and I both grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, about 15 miles apart but didn't meet until our senior year of high school at a plant nursery called Pike.

So what are we doing here in Fuquay-Varina you may ask...?

After high school, my lovely wife attended Texas Christian University while I spent my college days at Auburn. God has a funny way of working things out according to his plan, so with great timing and patience, Laura and I both ended up back on the east coast after graduation. She at Duke Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, and I at the Hard Rock Park project in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Considering this is the Short version, I will save you from all the details of our love story, engagement, wedding, and relocation to Fuquay-Varina, but the important thing to recognize is that it was God's hand directing us back into each other's arms.

Laura has been a Christian for a long time, and I finally felt the nudge of the Holy Spirit as God adopted me as one of his children in the fall of 2007, a few months prior to our engagement. It's no surprise that shortly after I prayed for Christ to take over my life and accepted him as my Savior that my priorities began changing. Not out of duty or to "pay back" our Heavenly Father, but because my heart had begun to soften.

The past few years have been amazing and our family has plans for growth, but we plan on sharing all of our joys and growing pains with you all and are glad to give you a glimpse into our Christian home.

We love you family! And of course our friends!
